Workshop seats are nonrefundable and cannot be transferred to another student if you are unable to attend.
Prerequisites & equipment
- You must be comfortable using your DSLR in manual mode
- At least one speedlight (or one will be provided for you if you need one) sync cords or wireless triggers example: "Pocket Wizards, Cactus Transmitters, etc" (we will have strobes and flashes on site)

This is an intensive Workshop for photographers who want to improve their technical skills in order to free themselves from the limitations of location. We will be teaching a creative mindset and approach allowing you to better capture and create with the light at your command. Illustrated lectures and hands on exercises illustrating the principles of contrast and composition for photographers who wish to enlighten their creative process. We will personally motivate your ability to see more possibilities by helping on your journey to mastering the use of light.
Bring a fully packed bag and any lights you may have this will be a hands on class we will show you how to best use your equipment.
7 hours of both indoor and outdoor instruction we will cover ambient and artificial light. We will also cover basic camera operation and techniques.
There will be only 1 on 1 shooting and no over the shoulder snipers. After the introduction we will break into groups and start shooting different light setups. Photographers wanting 1 on 1 shoots will start about 2:30 when models are available . The models have very new faces so you wont see their work in other photographers portfolios.
This workshop is limited to 10 students.
